Designing for this show

Machine tool stands are built around heavy exhibits. Check the venue's floor load limits, the machinery move in schedule, crane and forklift timing, compressed air and power for live demos, and guarding around running machines. The stand structure usually goes up around the machines, so the sequence matters.

Beyond the exhibits, think about what you want a visitor to do in the first 30 seconds: notice a single clear message from the aisle, find a person to talk to, and know where to sit down for a serious conversation. We design the layout around that path, then add display, storage and back of house space.

Your stall timeline for IMTEX 2027

Your exhibitor manual sets the real deadlines. A typical plan looks like this:

8 to 10 weeks before the show: concept, moodboards and 3D design rounds.
6 to 8 weeks before: design locked. Drawings prepared for organiser approval.
Before the organiser's design deadline: drawings submitted, contractor registration done, power and services ordered.
3 to 4 weeks before: fabrication, graphics, AV and furniture.
Build up days: install inside the venue's build up window, followed by a walk through with your team.
After the show: dismantling within the breakdown window, and a short review.

If your team is travelling to the show, plan travel and stay for the people who will staff the stand, and fix a time on the last build up day for a full walk through.
